Here are the key points:
1️⃣ Using AI effectively is now a baseline expectation for everyone at Shopify, across all verticals and domains.
2️⃣ AI must play a central role during prototyping. Prototypes are all about rapid learning and insight generation, and AI accelerates this significantly.
3️⃣ Questions about AI usage will now be part of performance evaluations and peer reviews.
4️⃣ Employees are encouraged(and expected) to actively share their AI learnings, including both successes and failures, with each other.
5️⃣ Before requesting additional headcount or resources, teams must clearly demonstrate why their goals can't be met through AI.
6️⃣ This standard applies to everyone, including the CEO and executive leadership.
