MedPaLM-2 outperforms physician "experts" on medical knowledge answers- scores more than 86%
Med-PaLM was the first model to exceed a “passing” score in US Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) style questions with a score of 67.2% on the MedQA dataset. Med-PaLM 2, which bridges the earlier gaps by leveraging a combination of base LLM improvements (PaLM 2), medical domain finetuning, and prompting strategies including a novel ensemble refinement approach scored up to 86.5% on the MedQA dataset, an improvement of over 19%.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman testifies on artificial intelligence before Senate committee [link]
Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, testified before a Senate subcommittee on May 16, 2023, about the need to regulate artificial intelligence (AI) technology being created inside his company and others like Google and Microsoft.
He supported the formation of a regulatory body for AI and suggested a suite of regulations that could include licensing and testing requirements for the development and release of AI models above a threshold of capabilities.

Salesforce announced plans to collaborate with Accenture to accelerate the deployment of generative AI for CRM. Together, the companies intend to establish an acceleration hub for generative AI that provides organizations with the technology and experience they need to scale Einstein GPT – Salesforce’s generative AI for CRM — helping to increase employee productivity and transform customer experiences.
